Things of beauty Unrenown Are because, and why I wrote this simple poem * As Even the Gray-green Bracts atop the lambs-ears Silver dress-or common Faces-bodies, Of everyday women (conceived by society) As bereft of erotic, Have surface that reflects Beatific aura... And in Keeping true to clauses, in pacts (Unwritten) between this writer- Sticking to contracts (un) signed, With living and dead, liberal-poets. I write of What projects as lovely, From the normal adorned- Of what rises in reflections Like balloons of light- From their coy modesty, That makes a delightful friction, Buy rubbing their warm bodies Against the lenses of my eyes; Of the shocks released, By prods of static arcs That shake awake impulse To draw their faces, to give Voice to the voiceless Allowing their joy to speak Through me, and then By their bodies electric, Finding ground on paper- After making lightning exit, Through the brass rod of my pen. * For and to The more Than what is found In surface petals Of flower-show flowers, Or women dressed To mask realities, Hiding behind cosmetic disguise, I write, Never forgetting, The physics of things, existential, Near or distant, must lay mute- invisible, to the poet that pines To become a Cummings (type) lover; Remembering That a writer must dwell Alone with its object-ignoring Other syntax, inside an earth-bound Vacuum-bubble...to be enabled To wholly kiss his subject Knowing that My heart will bleed, the moment It approves the common thing With the weak grace, of my diction; That's so unlike the kind of poem That only God the poet metes In the lines of a perfect song, That he sings of their perfection. |

By their bodies electric, Finding ground on paper- After making lightning exit, Through the brass rod of my pen. ~*~ Truthfully, I wanted to address all of this poem.... for the poetry, it is. It's time we got back to the reason of the Passion... just as you have done. Brava... and thank you. Duly libraried, with 24/7 lights. " It matters not this distance now " Excerpt, Yesterday's Love |

Remembering That a writer must dwell Alone with its object-ignoring Other syntax, inside an earth-bound Vacuum-bubble...to be enabled To wholly kiss his subject Knowing that My heart will bleed, the moment It approves the common thing With the weak grace, of my diction; Incredible writing Ford, and this part is just so truthful. This belongs in a book, prized on a mantle to be enjoyed over and over again by all!! |

Kari-Kacy, Martie-Donna-Karen Thank You for the lovely responses.. ![]() This poem was inspired by three things... 1.The features of a woman that works in a nearby store... 2.The green and silver, overlooked flowers(sometimes with a tiny touch of purple) of the "lambs ear" 3. A poem by ee cummings..."since feeling is first" cummings is one of the 'liberal' poets that I have made "contract" with, so I need give credit to him in order not to renig... Peace and Thanks to you all... _______ _____ice/ford ><> |

or channeled--but that would take a bit of the credit away from the artist. My turn to wonder if you know how good this really is... shaking my head I feel the spirit of this, as I consider the poem in the same light that you considered the subject(s). in awe of you, sir. ![]() |
