It was love, I knew, I felt
That spoke in silence, touched in grace
It was love, I breathed, I lived
That moved in stillness, filled its space

It was love, exquisite love
That held the heart, embraced the years
It was love, of deepest measure
Born of moments, wept in tears

Lovely, Liz

I was thinking this morning after reading your poem, I have only felt and been in love once (that was meant to be forever)

though there are many different levels of love and loving...

Liz, you have captured the essence of that kind of deep and abiding love with your poetically poignant words.

To love, loving, and being loved,

Liz

If those things are love to you...then you have touched the grandest part of living.  A beautiful poem!

You, dear lady - are the epitome... You give love - and you receive it in return.  No one deserves it more...

Never have I read a poem you've written that I was not moved.  You are so very gifted and appreciated.

Simple, sweet, all Santos.

Clear, concise, and unconditional.

Thank you, Liz.

It'a obvious.  You recognize the real thing when you have it.  Love,  Joyce
