They sit in chairs so silent Their faces tell it all Hurting, painful cries within Lost in the darkened halls. Their eyes are empty, sullen No life within their limbs Drooping shoulders, succumb, yield Heads hang low, so grim. These are the lonely people They live with me and you Yet we fail to understand The torment they go through. Is there a way to reach them? Can they escape the pain? Will their soul find purpose? Are there ways to ease their strain? These are the lonely people They wait for me and you To reach out to them in love In friendship kind and true. Jesus lives in my heart! He can in yours too!!! |
