john brings people thier food
it can be a complicated job
but he does it well
he's been doing it for a while now
so if you ever happen upon him
at the restaurant he works at
be extra nice to him
because you dont know him
for the incredible human being that he is
a loving father and a faithful husband
who makes his living
off of the generosity of the friends
who are his coworkers
and every day he works, he bears the brunt
of customer complaints
so if you have a problem with the way
your hamburger or steak has been cooked
or if you want a side of mayonaise or mustard
or perhaps some extra hot sauce for your wings
make sure to let john know in a kind, respectful manner
and make sure to do so before he leaves your table
to bring food to the other people
who eagerly wait for him
with empty bellies
and hopeful eyes

I liked this very much, thank you for the reminder.

The soul would have no rainbows, had the eyes no tears.
