I Can’t Catch A Ride For Love Nor Money |

I can’t get out of my head tonight, I want to go traveling in the cold clear air where the body’s failures and life's broken pieces are left behind, where the soul can soar once again, where dreams connect with the unraveled threads at the edge of a universe weaving beyond the fades of reality’s fare and simple care is the all night pass; these little trips on the Jungian trains have kept me sane for decades. OK, so not really sane, but still passable in society’s crowd, so that the world still lets me walk free. Why is the little door in back of my mind right now off limits to me, jammed shut when I need it most? I’ve lived so free for oh so long perhaps some part of me is breaking where I should be holding on. I’ve lost track of how often I have been a strap hanger on those timeless rides, I can not imagine what will become of me if my astral pass is gone. It is bad enough to live always missing the soft heat and warm touch of a woman when I have lived for so long in the cold, but to not have the option of travel is more emptiness than I can hold. Well I know it’s not time yet to panic, I know the afterlife’s coming up soon and my guardian always stays with me, and forever is holding my room. ©2006 by icebox |

Well, I hope you last a few years more. You sound like you are about to give up on life. I hope that is not the case. You wrote - Why is the little door in back of my mind right now off limits to me, jammed shut when I need it most? I have often felt this too, and I think most humans feel this at one point or another, sometimes more often than not. I do hope you find peace and a lady to love. Life if you are lonely is not much of a life at all, though it is a life. Sheri Adams Jesus lives in my heart! He can in yours too!!! |

icebox "simple care is the all night pass;" I know you haven't lost your pass, but just look at the time that you wrote this. Maybe all you need is to get some sleep? |

This was Great!!!!!! And I especially liked this stanza. "Why is the little door in back of my mind right now off limits to me, jammed shut when I need it most?" |

icey, that little door gets jammed for reasons we don't know at the time...just think of it as a good thing, my friend. |

"I want to go traveling in the cold clear air where the body’s failures and life's broken pieces are left behind" oh yes.. Funny you should mention...I woke this morning thinking, "I went to that exact same place before!" Same people where there and the same feeling of dread.. It's now always easy or happy. But it's always there. "too bad ignorance isn't painful" |
