painting desert stripes on lanes of sand beneath the steam-squelched sun i came face to face with freedom’s chains in a race i’d slowed to run perceiving scorched the leaflets of my mind when first i thought my essence freed only to discover the bands of bondage were attached to emancipation’s seed with thought came not a liberty as once i had conceived but entangled me with responsibility... as words expose… my thoughts recede |

Hmmm...in pondering this, and thinking how strings of love/attachment can never really be broken, I am wondering if you would even choose 'freedom' from such bondage? An interesting write. |

think of this as the mind, with its convoluted patterns of thought...then take it from there (as it processes thoughts to words)...not nearly so noble as to be about life or love or lofty things... |
