There's a smooth stretch of highway
That rolls out of the past
Out of all  the sadness,
where it ain't worth goin back.
And if you keep on traveling
T'ward the signs that say free
You'll find the trip like sailing
On a calm and sleepy sea.

Chorus:
On that highway there's a better place for you
Go your own way where there ain't no blues
Out there beneath the open sky
You'll find yourself a natural high,
On that highway someone's lookin out for for you.

(Musical break)

Kids are gone and so is he
And you're living alone.
There's all those lonesome rooms
Where the memories roam
So get up take that first step
Into tomorrow's open arms
You'll hear your own voice singing
Cause you're finally movin on.

Chorus:
On that highway there's a better place for you
Go your own way where there ain't no blues
Out there beneath the open sky
You'll find yourself a natural high,
On that highway someone's lookin out for for you.

Bridge:
The wind will blow the sun will shine
Sometimes it's gonna rain
But there won't be no better time
Than the freedom of the change.

Chorus:
On that highway there's a better place for you
Go your own way where there ain't no blues
Out there beneath the open sky
You'll find yourself a natural high,
On that highway someone's lookin out for for you.

A wonderful song, Eric...and I think there may be a few of us here who need to hear it!

Wow, what a great tune Eric, would love to hear you playing the guitar and singing this one.
That opening grabbed me by the throat.
