More than 2 years of writers block finally comes to an end! Hollow Ways April 1, 2006 Copyright 2006 Doug Pretorius Slowly I begin to feel how I forget who I'll be warm hands and understand yesterday is all I see Questions and answers bore no one knows what's in store nightmares and dreams I share to break upon my long lost shores Simply and explicitly I follow paths of old friends and silently I worry I can't bear to face the end Slowly now I begin to feel that only emptiness is real but maybe I can still understand why today is all I see Mirrors of hollow ways carry fellows on their stay empty stares extraordinare filling whole our final day Simply and anonymously I slip down familiar roads honestly I don't know where they ever go Slowly I'm beginning to see there's more I might possibly be I finally stand to understand that tomorrow is what I feel |
