Bearing it on your wing,
the season fresh and new.
Brighter are the days of spring,
beauty born with glowing view.
Chiffchaffs from africa came along,
tiny birds born on the breeze.
On bare branches they sing their song,
languid, they echo calls with ease.
Pheasants courtship and chasing,
pussy willow and golden daffodils.
Fresh, clean air, invigorating, bracing,
quickening begun, amber hearts it fills.
