Standing naked fore the mirror in the morning light, I gaze into the polished glass: Behold amazing sight! A fountain for emotions here, a splash of reason there. A selfish creature looks at me pretending that he cares. Knows not the place that he came from or even why he's here. Tomorrow is just a dream for him. Imagine all that fear! The things he sees, the things he hears... he believes them to be true. What should I call this creature here, genius, liar, fool? One day he reaches for the stars... the next, he's lying down. Don't want the things he needs the most... I quickly turn around. |

"tell it like it is" A poem with potential, yet lost within itself. Words organized in a passionate way, that leave a message. But can I say the poem is great, of that I speak of feelings and emotion. Otherwise I feel the plot was lost within the vision and what it was the mirror was reflecting back in its purity. Made me think and that had to be good !!! a poet who cares |
