I sit in the room of stones and watch the old trees bend there is no wind there but they hear the songs from yesterday and lean their limbs to worship there are oceans in their eyes between the leaves again they watch the windows of sky waiting for the son of suns to heal them into acorns and forgive the sins of their roots their bark is redwood fragile it peels to the touch of their forested abrasions but yet they sway together undressing themselves for the salvation or morning and she is there at the counter calling names that never answer looking at faces that never smile she makes her mark by their names counting them as her children counting them as the green yesterdays sawdust blood, no one knew their news _____________ daark |

"their bark is redwood fragile it peels to the touch of their forested abrasions but yet they sway together undressing themselves for the salvation or morning" What I copied is my favorite for several reasons, but it was the last verse that reminded me of someone that has long since removed themselves from my life... Sometimes it's good to remember and miss..thanks. "too bad ignorance isn't painful" |

DS "to heal them into acorns and forgive the sins of their roots" I love that part, and all of it. Very thoughtfilled! |
