some one said you cannot rhyme 'realize' with 'eyes', or rhyme 'car' with 'far'. As if they were making rules as to how a poem should be written. So this was my response to such comments. 4730 Realize Your Being 20 December 2005 Open your eyes and realize you are blind Take that essence of spirit and in words bind Understand your tomorrow and never in holden eyes see Because your passions need to flow free Run that race and travel far Do it by roads of wisdom never take it by car Contriving the art of love open your heart to breath unknown Then let the world untangle all you have learnt of a life grown “And, behold, two of them [Apostles] went that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was from Jerusalem about threescore furlongs [12 kilometres]. And they talked together of all these things which had happened [the crucifixion of Christ]. And it came to pass, that, while they communed together and reasoned, Jesus himself drew near, and went with them. But their eyes were holden [undecided ] that they should not know him. And he said unto them, What manner of communications are these that ye have one to another, as ye walk, and are sad?” Luke 24: 13-17 KJV [words in brackets added] 4732 As You Are 20 December 2005 Her heart felt a thump from afar Or was it more related to a poet to a car This in realized eyes of her beauty in spirit Radiated in warmth upon ground in snow Summer shine on her winters day Happiness delivered - by way of heavenly satellite To think of her knowing that was enough This sacrament of afar - by a poet who cares as you are “A land which the LORD thy God careth for: the eyes of the LORD thy God are always upon it, from the beginning of the year even unto the end of the year.” Deuteronomy 11: 12 KJV a poet who cares |

A poem that acheives. It really expresses the title which is what caught my attention in the first place. I dig your style. |
