First I would like to state that I am leaving Passions to do human rights work in China. The reason that my poems speak as though I am already dead, is because I am an ill person. There is no need for me to discuss what my ailment is. This is why those poems were worded the way they were. Now I would like to thank the people that emailed me or responded to my poems before they were deleted. It is people such as yourselves that shows that this world truly is a bueatiful place. I may not have gotten a chance to read your responses. I would like each of you to know, that I am doing fine and thank you for your kindness. Thank You Nancy/Enchantress Thank You Kacy/Midnitesun Thank You Lauren/Greeneyes Thank You Diana/OwlSA Thank You Marge Tindal Thank You nakdthoughts Thank You iliana My Mouth stapled shut for the words that I chose to convey It seems that we have come to an odd point Never really reading the words for what they were Too busy reading between the lines to see what is in plain view Has everything turned into an episode of CSI Sometimes a rose is nothing more then a rose I was told I was condoning suicide when I never even said that I had stated that I had contemplated the thought Am I suppose to stand up here and lie to you It was a thought in my mind and I moved past it If anything I was showing that it should not be the final choice you make Maybe if I had labeled those poems Multiple Sclerosis or Cancer They would be still here for you to read My death will come early, but not by my own hands They stole the words of encouragement that others left for me If it was not for the mass flood of emails I recieved I would never have known I sit back and think that anger should be filling me I did not even get a chance to copy those words to my own notebook I guess it is like I said Some call me preacher man Others call me an idealist fool No matter what they choose to call me In my heart I know what I do is right No matter how many times I get silenced inthis world You have to believe, I am going to keep moving on Because after the darkest night always comes a brighter day Dear poe, We regret to inform you that your poem, "Smile," as well as "Last Words" have been removed because they both violate the posted guidelines of our forum. We remind you that we do not allow poems that depict or glorify suicide, violence, or the harming of oneself or others. If you wish to edit the offending content, and repost it, you may. It would be irresponsible of us to condone postings that show suicide as a valid choice to susceptible members who may be influenced by it. Though you may be expressing this as a mere third party issue, and not one from your own personal experience, we are not in a position to discern the sincerity behind your words. If this poem does reflect an issue that you are dealing with, we are not unsympathetic to your feelings, and would like to offer you some options in the links below If you were experiencing severe stomach aches and wanted relief, you would seek professional help. These feelings that you are expressing may be symptoms that also require professional assistance before you can feel better. We strongly advise that you do just that... Seek professional help. You also need the support of others. If your family is unaware, tell them. If you feel you can't, talk to your friends, a school counselor, a member of the clergy, or staff at a service center in your community. You will find much more information, support, and places where you can express yourself at the following links: http://www.suicide-helplines.org/ http://suicidehotlines.com/ http://teenadvice.about.com/mbody.htm http://teenadvice.about.com/teens/teenadvice/cs/helplines/index.htm http://depression.about.com/teens/depression/mbody.htm http://www.teenadviceonline.org http://teenpoetry.studentcenter.org/ http://www.teen-online.com We wish you the best, and hope to see you posting soon, within our guidelines, of course. I, too, wish you well in China and know that will do much good, second by second. The tiny things are just that bit more important than the big things. I also wish you courage, determination, happiness, wisdom, the ability to turn to others when you need to, smiles, peace and many, many miracles. You are worthy of all these things and you deserve them. Hugs Owl |
