She turned the corner today into the wind of age dressed head to toe in insipid blue/greys from the primary brights of her youth and I wanted to ask what it’s like to lose sight of the flashes and streaks of a colourful life. I didn’t, of course, because I don’t know her name or whether she knows there’ll soon be a change into that dreaded and feared colour “pink” that says, “Look at me – I’m a woman half dead walking around in this watered down red.” And she won’t be excused from carrying the hue in deference to an enlightened view and I wanted to shout, “Turn about, turn about” but I didn’t, of course, because she’s on a roll down to a one day implosion of soul. But I walked hand in hand on this lie of the land that leads to the end of mortal man singing and sighing, laughing and crying, because nothing can stop pink’s sly advance on a woman’s need for a second chance. I don’t like pink but it sure makes me think not to let passion shrivel and shrink! Helen / 27 March 2006 |

You provoke so much thought, and I'd guess you'd look very pretty in pink, Helen dear~ So glad to read you here tonight~ |

Yes, I've been told so but it's always the thought behind things that count and my thoughts aren't geared kindly towards pink. Good to see you here too! [This message has been edited by Honeybunch (03-27-2006 06:40 AM).] |
