5211 In Eyes of Sight 22 March 2006 Her eyes covered for thus was blind to see Yet her voice a sweet presence as to occupy a mind in listening Distance divided upon Canaan another land to wander in kind The hours a dividend upon a table a glass box as to crystal gaze Her haven - his evening delight restlessness a way of being One to suffer in another of sleep delight a centrifuge to savour Our world driven in gravity upon an axis of time in turn Love not a realistic answer yet joy was her in eyes of sight “Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee: therefore will I give . . . for thee, and people for thy life.” Isaiah 43: 4 KJV a poet who cares |

This was a beautiful poem. I don't think I quite get the drift of it, but I found myself feeling good as I read it and that is what is important to me - is how the reading makes you feel and what it makes you think. To me, this lady saw beauty though she was blind and she was beautiful to see. I enjoyed your poem. Sheri Adams Jesus lives in my heart! He can in yours too!!! |
