Was It Yesterday? |

Was it yesterday when... rains fell and filled a shallow green gourd with the sweetness of you. A moment before my yearning lips thirsted to kiss away the single crystal droplet that clung stubbornly at the brink. Yesterday when I whispered tender morsels of love to you as you slept and I fumbled into the next song as a Nightingale complemented a solitary duet. Yesterday when silver flakes fell and trees clung to icicles as pure waters dripped and sounds of a locomotive hummed a lonely beggar's tune. Tell me, was it yesterday when the green of your eyes told me no, not yesterday.....today. |

"Was it yesterday when... rains fell and filled a shallow green gourd with the sweetness of you." You pen such amazing lines Barry. It's just perfect. |
