Anger permeates my heart Once again you’ve cut me to the core There is no trust of me on your part I don’t think I can take much more Am I a man or am I child Unfortunately, you decide I long for my independence Yet I must swallow my pride I love you, I respect you But can you not see What it is your control Is doing to me I fear you, I hate you But I cannot speak For when I am in your presence My heart becomes weak So in my loneliness In my despair I shall wait for the day When I no longer care I have my dreams Though you’ve tried to kill I have my aspirations And I know God’s will The law says I’m a man You say I am a child And I know nothing of life You say I’m too wild So help me understand Help see your view But try to let me go So I can live to Lyn Eagleton 01/08/2006 |

I have written many of my poem from tha point of view of the teens i have the pleasure to visit with in our church. Their feeling are well understood and translated into words they have not of their own. |

After reading your comment, I can appreciate the compassionate component of your poem as well as the poetic one. A stirring, and emotional read. Love & Light, Earth Angel |
