Paddy's Wheel ~~~ The wheel goes round the pinter clacks anticipation ... screams and laughs Where it stops tells who it limes shooters wait and tension climbs The wheel ticks slow the pinter chokes dead between the lucky spokes Paddy's blue rolls off the chant green team bends the elbows back Shooters gone ... a Guinness chase another green tips out the race The pinter whirs the laughter soars the wheel spins fast while tender pours Tobacco wafts and music sails while dancers step to Ireland's tales Raising roofs with Irish laughter from those that are and those come after ~ |
