Closing Chapters

As I get ready to write a new chapter in my life
I look back at the characters that have played a role in it
Especially those who let walk in their world with them
And though some are no longer near,
I still carry them in my heart

As of late my world has had no direction,
No up, no down, no side to side, it just moved ahead
Until I met you,
A character I’d like to include in the remaining chapters of my life
I don’t want to rewrite the past, or look to it for guidance
I want to create new memories to cherish
I want to walk with you in Our World
Share sunsets, sunrises, Moonlit nights, maybe catch a falling star

For now, I will start this chapter alone
Unsure of where it will go
Time will tell if you take the next lead role
