Nothing now, but these empty arms, And a heart, full freighted with tears. What yet undreamed of woes and alarms, What future, nameless fears, Could ever bring more pain than this? The haunting imprint of her kiss, Slipping out of reach, beyond recall; A dwindling shadow on the wall. A lowering shade that slowly fades Into the blank, impenetrable night. All that I wanted, overthrown, My dreams all put to flight. For I shall never know, again, such rest, As when I held her against my chest. |

Michael~ 'The haunting imprint of her kiss, Slipping out of reach, beyond recall; A dwindling shadow on the wall. A lowering shade that slowly fades Into the blank, impenetrable night.' Such a big *SIGH* for these thoughts~ *Huglets* ~*Marge*~ ~*The sound of a kiss is not as strong as that of a cannon, but it's echo endures much longer*~ |

Beautiful, cinnabar, but I believe that a soul such as yours you will find happiness - just give it time, even if it has to be lots of time. - Owl |
