Can I pretend we're in love,
that it's me your thinking of?
Can I pretend you need me,
like I need you?

I'll sail away on the wings of a dove,
if I can pretend we're in love.
I'll tell you of all the places,
we'll never go.

Can I send a kiss upon the wind,
pretend your more than just a friend?
Love is just a fantasy anyway.

Can I hold you in arms of imagination,
pretend your love is my salvation?
Can I pretend...

For all the beautiful ladies here at Pip that I'm so in love with.

Maybe I should add that I do believe in love. That I have a beautiful wife of 24 years that is happy that I find inspiration in your tales of love. :-)

Steven

The inner beauty of a person becomes clear within poetry....it is easy to love within that and because of that.  I know that I have felt such a draw.  This is a lovely, and honest poem that makes me smile.  And, want to give you one of these....

I'm not one of the PiP ladies, but I need your lovin' too.  I begin each morning, feeling like a bride.  I rest my head on my pillow at night and breathe a contented sigh over all I gave birth to during the day.  I do feel amazingly pink and pastel.  LOL   I love ya, brother.

With reality so cruel, I've retreated to a pretend world. *S*

I like this very much, Steven... You've given many much-needed smiles! *S*

In my effort to reply this morning you would have though I was starting a book. But with our little California Flower girl on my mind this morning I reread her reply to this poem. I realized she had said everything I had hoped and tried to say. I do have a love for each of you that I don't quite understand. It is as love always is I guess undefinable but much more than pretend. Thank you all! I find a song in each of your hearts, you too Uriah which may be the most fun to write. God Bless! :-)

Thank you Hope, with me it's flap your wings till you fly or sit down and cry. I do both, but prefer to fly. Glad you enjoyed!:-)
