In simple silent sentences that trail the poet's hand; inside the neat word fences, the poet makes a stand. Here, the throb is muted by the muse's magic tune; like the pulsing light diluted near the far side of the moon. Ten thousand star cast shadows dance against the rails; against the crystal gallows, against the truth's bright sails. And the steel blue cold uncertain of those brilliant billows blown, holds the crystal gallows' curtain; holds the soul's eternal home. |
