Love unconsidered Is love that is wasted. Life unexamined, Is life untasted. Love, life, waste, taste-- Too much for some, So they settle in haste, And then have time To repent at leisure. (Now then, sir, and What's your pleasure?) O, life's one hell Of a tawdry game; Run it through, again And again, and look, It still turns out About the same. Blindly jerking, (noises off), A masturbatory fumble, while The sophisticates scoff, and Mix their martinis, shaken, Not stirred; and never, Never, NEVER a word About the monster, Lurking, Underneath the hood, The cubic inchworm That swallows the blood. Floor the pedal, Feel the surge. Gobble the blacktop, The rough male urge To take, to possess, Going nowhere fast. Desire is heady, But it doesn't last. Sooner or later Somebody crashes. Is sex the Oprah Of the masses? |

I don't watch Oprah, I've only had sex two times and got three kids so I don't think I'm qualified to answer this question. But I liked the poem. :-) |

Thanks. No, I don't usually watch her either, just bored one afternoon, and flicking through, looking for the Discovery channel. Thats my story, and I'm sticking to it. |
