Picture by Josephine Wall * * * In memory of my dear friend, Merle who passed away in December 2005, aged 85 * * * You came into my life Just over two years ago And it took no time at all For our friendship to grow I looked forward to see you On Fridays around one Sometimes we'd even sit outside And have a cuppa in the sun Music was one of your passions And you shared that love with me So many things we had in common Such as our love of poetry The love you had for your family Was completely beyond compare And although the years had aged you Your mind was still so aware To me, you were an inspiration A lady loved by all she knew Now each and every Friday I will stop and think of you Since the day that we first met Of my life, you became a part Now you'll continue to live on Within the confines of my heart I am in motion |

Keep those memories warm for all time. That is the greatest gift you can give to your friend. I am only 60, and hope to live for a long time still, but I would be honoured to be remembered once I have died, in the way that you remember your friend. You must have given her many, many happy hours. - Owl |

miraculous how so many people compliment our lives...I have a friend who without words, has spoken volumns to me, as well, and I'm blessed in her friendship...few people complement our lives as such...thank God for them... Beautiful dedication... |
