Head ajar—
Struggling forward
On wooden canes

Know you who wince
At seeing her

Once she was beautiful
More than you . . .

....and still is, the kind of beauty that's earned.

I love this, as I seem to have an affinity with the very old and the very young, but if you would humor me with your patience and my incessant questions, would you mind very much explaining the title?

Some days I'm foggy. And it doesn't creep in on little cat feet for me either.

thank you

and just know that while I appreciated your poem before, with this link, it moved me to tears.

Thanks for the link which is, for me, a mind and heart feast.

Like serenity... the poem touched me before I followed the link... afterwards... I'm at a loss for words and can only applaud. *S*
