The sun
Settles down
Below the horizon

The last sky of day
Is red purple
With a final blue

Boats in the harbor
Seem to sigh
On the heaving sea
Their bells chime
In low tones

The shadows of couples
Slowly wander
A ship’s lights
Beneath lambent stars

All immersed
In an immense silence

Without comment
Past
Or fear

Fading so gracefully....another lesson for aspiring writers -- well done.
