I am the ancient one...
Who haunts your dreams

I am the special one...
Who dances with your memories

I am the forgotten one...
Who can remind you of when

I am the cherished one...
Who can break your heart or cause it to mend

I am the one you cannot forget...
I am the one cannot remember

I am the tainted one...
Who can lead your child astray

I am the clever one...
With the words you cannot say

I am the spiritual one...
Who can lead you to the Lord

I am the angry one...
Who can sharpen the edge of your sword

I am the lonely one...
Who rests a tear on your cheek

I am the loving one...
A heart I cause you to seek

I am timeless, both old and new...
I am the emotions bottled within you

I am the song, the melody

very nice, reads like lyrics too.

Reminded me of good vs. evil
(as lives within us all)

Reminds me of a poem I once wrote;
reminds me, too, of a very wonderful song...

One that had to accept both cheers,
and jeers...

but yes, this is a melody, indeed.

Thank you for this.  Now I have the tune of the song in my head....

a good way to end the night.
