MY LITTLE ONE 22 December 2000 My Little One, you are so much smaller than my horse, and yet you are as cat as he is horse and as horse as he is cat and as Love as he is Love and as one as he is one and your own one and your lithe little body reverberates with purrs and affection and little kitty words and watch-cat growls at strange noises and without you I would be as dead as the furniture and I can’t wait to get home to look into your great big welcoming eyes and to bury my nose in your magnificently striped and comforting fur and to smother you with kisses which you enjoy and return in smiling eyes and little rough-tongued licks and to watch you bound down the passage after a bouncing pink or white or yellow or blue ping-pong ball and to watch you bath and to wish that I could look so adorable while washing my feet and to stroke your sun-warmed coat while you supervise my weeding of the garden in languishing, sun-worshipping bliss and to find you in another of the bookshelves when you have read all the ones in the previous shelf and to have you sit on the computer while I read these words to you for your approval which I must have for now you are purring on my lap. - Owl |

I miss her.....more sometimes than most humans I've lost along the way.....thank you for bringing me back in tune with that gentle spirit. ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸ ¸¸ºº> ~~~(¸¸ER¸¸ºº> |

Oh... you bring back such wonderful memories. *S* Mine is still with my physically... but her steps are made with effort and her toys just catch dust... But still... the love is there... and though I now rush to her instead of her meeting me at the door... the sight of her says "home." *S* Love this! *S* |

Thank you Ed, for letting me remember your cat with loving memories which I hope weren't too painful. I understand how you feel about her in relation to people. I feel exactly the same way. I find animals so easy to understand - so much easier than understanding people. Tigger is my beautiful tabby cat and he and Daisy (my beautiful Maltese poodle) are the light of my life, especially as my son and daughter (the human ones) have grown up and have their own homes and families. Thank you Suthern. Please give your kitty loving hugs and kisses from me all the way from South Africa. Please also explain to her that owls are far too big for kitties to eat, and although they are birds of prey, this one would never hurt her or any other animal. I am glad you rush to her, after all the years she rushed to you. - Owl |

"and to find you in another of the bookshelves when you have read all the ones in the previous shelf" Ah Diana, you have touched the heart of this animal lover with your cat poem. There is nothing like the unconditional love of a "furson." Hugs to you, Daisy and Tigger from me, George and Winnie |
