On Finding Self Forgiveness

Erasure strokes can not amend
These blacks and blues that I have penned.
And though with time, the color fades.
My scars remain in greyer shades.

With fist in clench, I strike my pose
To scribble and scratch a new compose.
And though I search the inner sage,
Still nonsense finds its way to page.

Possibilities lie in bed-
Awake, but dreaming in my head.
Through guilty view of void and null,
I find no peace, no lovely lull.

But on a breeze of morning’s name,
I did release my point of blame.
Then pardon breathed its cleansing sighs
To clear my mind, and thus my eyes.

I normally look at rhyming poetry and decide that I am not interested... then someone comes along and shows me what an idiot I am being... Great job.
