There's something about a bend in the road: Something there, yet, not quite... known, yet, not quite, unknown. Much like the unpredictable arrangements of notes in that new song that I recently heard. Seemed to turn out so right, like, my mind knew that's the way the tune had to go all along... only way possible, even though yesterday was the first time I heard it. I thought, "There must be something wonderful here." Or take the smell of rising bread in an early morning oven. You know what's in there, you've always known,... flour with a little water, salt, yeast. Yet those olfactory "what might be" sensations flare up and shoot through you like a blowtorch, screaming, "There must be something wonderful here." And that bend in the road: Whatever it is that's not quite there... right around the corner. You've know that it was there all along, will always exist... right there, around the bend... waiting... "There must be something wonderful there!" |

"Or take the smell of rising bread in an early morning oven." My mind knew that's the way it had to go too and I love where it took me. Love this poem Kathy. Hugs... |
