in the mirror, faded vague echoes of her the promise unrecognized in her own eyes the light of dreams long diminished her body shape shifted, disguised abhorrent false influence carried in self-defense the weight crushing yet the blue looks back steadily regarding the round face of a stranger hidden is the heart which still remembers it once bade her feet ...dance! That mirror only reflects the outside, seldom are we happy with what we see. Words like these reflect something deeper and more meaningful...do you see? :-) Loved this beautiful write Klassy Lassy! |

Wow. I could leave that comment, as is. I probably should. But I'm in a moment when the lines rang true, and deep, with course and sure the times of knowledge. Some might run through this, say it is a nice poem, even a good poem. But to those with heart? and blood? It layers the imagination with timewarp. Well done, Lass. |

Sunshine, thank you for commenting. The layers of your comment touch me, because time and knowledge do take their course...not always the way the blueprints were laid out. Hugs ~ Klassy ~ |

Steven S. I so appreciate those gentle words and you for looking beneath them. Your comment touches me. My vision isn't 20-20 but I try to keep perspective. Thank you. ~ Klassy ~ [This message has been edited by Klassy Lassy (03-05-2006 10:59 PM).] |

"hidden is the heart which still remembers it once bade her feet ...dance!" ~ A powerful and poignant closing to a very moving piece of writing. May the mirrors in your life reflect your inner beauty. Love & Light, EA |

Inner beauty is so much more inspirational, closer to perfection, reassuring and heart-warming. The more I learn about people, the more I realise this. - Owl |

I particularly love the - not ambiguity, but layered meaning and ambiance, of the title. - Owl |

OWLISA, I have a motto: Life is a mirror...reflect carefully. Poetry makes me think of mirrored windows, sometimes one way, but always with more than one side to them. Your reponse is heartwarming! Karen |
