The heart breaks just a little, fragile as it is with so little protection. The crack spreads bit by bit as the wound opens more and more. With each passing moment, personal torment is applied. Questions and self-mockery abound, intelligence and confidence give ground. The heart breaks just a little, fragile as it is, with so little protection. Fighting the good fight, deployed to Iraq. |

Daniel~ Yes .... yes ... and often those 'little' breaks leave such pain that it's difficult to want to go on ... but, we do ... for there is healing ... always healing ... from the next love that comes~ You wrote the pain of heartache very real ... made me remember an ache or two from the past~ For though it heals ... there are always the remembers~ *Huglets* ~*Marge*~ ~*The sound of a kiss is not as strong as that of a cannon, but it's echo endures much longer*~ |

This is wonderful... it tells truth without the flair and fuss in which I tend to wrap my poetry. I like your style. Caroline He who wants a rose must respect the thorn. |

It's probably just the mood I'm in right now, but it seems to me that this heartbreak isn't your run of the mill heartbreak; seems to me that there's something deeper to this one. Enjoyed, I've missed reading you and then He created the horse... |

dear sweet man, Rumi says like water in a jar and a river the essense is the same...you are giving up what you are, for what you have yet to become...be safe, and know that we all love you, care and support your purpose... love to you |

Well said. The heart learns to protect itself, but also, learns to accept itself. Corinne |
