US Us we live in ignorance Us we scramble for a cent Us we ride in fancy cars Us we forgot about the stars in all their gorgeous might we've forgotten what is right given power to things trite in this everlasting night Us we value money It really is quite stunning How commercialism has grown It makes me groan and phone in to a distant land with inquiry and a plan you have the power at hand say you want change for man there's no need to fuss and no need to cuss can't you see it's too late for Us. Now we need but a few acres Do you realize what's at stake here As long as Us leaves us alone Simpler societies we shall clone. work in progress.. I'd like to add a stanza in between the 1st and 2nd describing Us. |

US Us we live in ignorance Us we scramble for a cent Us we ride in fancy cars Us we forgot about the stars in all their gorgeous might we've forgotten what is right given power to things trite in this long overlooked night Why does Us boss everyone around Why does Us create so many frowns with so much oppression abound it keeps me down to the ground I hate it down here I grab for a beer to the courts I appear and I cower in fear I try to fly up in the bountiful skies I wish I could fly so high but can't so I only sigh back to thinking of our demise Us we value money It really is quite stunning How commercialism has grown It makes me groan and phone in to a distant land with inquiry and a plan you have the power at hand say you want change for man there's no need to fuss and no need to cuss can't you see it's too late for Us.
