Above snowy fields A hawk gyres in blue air With outspread wings The sea beside the shore Softly laps the posts of an old pier Wind sounds among the ruins Of cabins fallen down A single white ship Faintly seen on the horizon line Slowly crosses from East to West It is March Not yet warm The new flowers Have as yet not come in bloom To mask the memories of other Springs |
