She walked the night, Lined by towering lights. Looking over her, eyes shine with compassion, For her plight. Loneliness creeped on her. Quietness stalked her. She quicken her steps, To escape this drag. Her shadow appeared. Told her, "Im here." "I'll walk with you." "Have no fear." They walked in unison. To steady tempo, no misses. Who can be a better match? Than this friend, without features. Who understands, Without words and gestures. Maybe the one who can be my own best friend is myself? Inspired on a night walk.
