It comes and then is stored away
Forgotten, although there
Stacked to just ferment one day
And leave its stench near everywhere
It makes what’s real, the hard place
Where prayers are many said
Self-thought and sorrow fills that space
And quiet lies the bed

Another friend just passed away
I bet they thought if only
With all the things that come my way
I hide still feeling lonely
But there is health and all I need
Except the strength to speak
I prick myself to find I bleed
I live but find I’m weak

And writing as my one release
Is joyous in my state
Few words still offer what is peace
To which I can relate
I hunger joy while greeting pain
No wonder voices speak
The pen is writing once again
A title now I seek

Whatever title that you choose
will always draw me in to read!

This is a poem I can truly appreciate...
for all of the losses, the give and take,
the rewards that only we might recognize...

Thank you, Rick.

Dear Sunshine, nice to see you again, it is a funny thing my friend, not wanting to go through hard times or grief, but finding when there you somehow rejoice and feel good, I am just glad to have something to compensate. Thank you for your reply Sunshine, love seeing you here sharing time.

Sincerely
Rick

You write from and to the heart, and your poetry always makes me feel

If Balladeer had titled this poem I would have thought it would be about a drunk Pamela Anderson....

Well done Rick...
