The tower of your heart A lighthouse searching Time laden mist Veils The unforgettable The banners blazing Caught in the wind flowing The voices rise, singing The echoes dying in the hills A defeat For ever having fought Impregnable Insatiable The eyes that saw to the heart of this The sighing Trapped in the branches As a season drifts The long grass dancing Remembering A statue with Arms asunder From the valley Yearning For ivory pinnacles A pale lonely beauty An everlasting rose Pink hued petals fading Each immortal moment Forgetful The trumpet call dies The sun passing Blood red hills A cold white tower Silence Artificial star light |

I usually don't like poems about roses since they are a bit overdone. However, this one works. Still, I find it hard to get excited over roses. David thanks for the read |
