5105 Mortified Decay 19 February 2006 If not to feel so bad was a cry of temperate ill Such a temperament from inside this tearing of body in limb Such pain to shudder this solemn ripping internal A soul encamped in terror like that of truth serum Torn aside incremented to endure sudden to coldness in muscular ache An anguish of visitation transfixed unable to escape in feeling overcome Void of advent to dispose in discomfit mortified as if green to decay A heart tampered with to umber thus hue of complexion engulfed “And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible” 1 Corinthians 9: 25 KJV a poet who cares |
