If I could touch a heart
By words that I may write
In some kind of way
It would be such a delight

If I could mend a broken heart
Make you smile for a while
Then, I would have succeeded
And made my life worthwhile

To see someone hurting
Brings tears to my eyes
For the ones who caused your pain
I can honestly say, I despise

But, I am just an ordinary person
With a heart as big as the sea
I’m no one special, though
I am just plain ole me

If you should ever need a friend
You could always count on me
I would never to disappoint you
I would be the best that I can be

I will be there to help you stand
Until you can stand on your own
And always make sure you know
You will never be alone
