Fingers fiddling
His numbers dialled.

No answers
No sound

He said i was funny
He said i was pretty

There were so much to be said
But none like there are now

I know we are not lover
Maybe it aint meant to be forever

What about friends?
He replied,
"We shall be silent friends".

You expressed this so well. Good job ! It hit me square in the heart. Caused it to sink low into my gut. An empty, hollow feeling.
