With Or Without Cupid Cupid you are cross-eyed Constantly missing me Tried aiming at my heart Then hits the nearest tree He lacks the practical skill I clearly have that proof Last year I watched him Firing arrows on my roof Cupid does need glasses He is as blind as a bat I remembered one year He had aimed at the cat Always missing the target Flying straight past me Eyesight is his problem This little guy cannot see His arrows fly everywhere They often went astray He had truly lost the plot Obviously losing his way Having heard love is blind Cupid was proof of that His sight better improve Or I will be hiding my cat Arrows aimed at the heart Did sound rather stupid Still I can spread my love With or without any cupid Hope©2006 Link to the poem with music and graphic below http://thestarlitecafe.com/poems/96/poem_816442.html |
