It's nearing the dawn hours and Im seeing no signs of home yet. Where did I end up? Where am I? It's not of use to follow my tracks.... They just arn't there anymore. My body's so frozen I no longer care... No longer care what happens. It must be thirty below right now. My skin is cracked and purple, Still I will fight the weather... ........ The sun is coming into view.... Finally some light..... Finally some warmth...... ........ When I think about a warm house It makes me want to run. Guess the sun's energy Really does change a person. Though I still cant move well since Im still frozen. ....... If I make it home..... Ill be a walking miracle...An inspiration. People will see.... They'll see theres more to themself then just living. Ive never judged my own abilities. As a result Ive found the real instinct to live. If you hold on just a second longer, That will in time become an hour more. ...... Im feeling a bit warmer But still cant speak. Only in my mind can I speak clearly. So its only in my mind that I can give you this poem.. ------- ...If you choose not to decide you still have made a choice. |

Brrrrrr...this makes me realize that I don't know the meaning of the word, "cold"! (I thought it was anything below 60 degrees) Well done! |

The purpose for the poem is to give the reader a reason not to complain about temperatures just barely cold enough to freeze water. I figure it will give them an idea how lucky they are to have the smallest bit of cold. No matter what we do or where we live, We'll always be in the middle because someone somewhere has more wether its talent or material posessions. ...If you choose not to decide you still have made a choice. |
