It is a Requiem for someone. Sunshine's words made me think to write it. I should have written it a long time ago and spoken it. I didn't because I considered my life and career mattered more and I would catch up with life at some point. I dont offer excuses. Bodger As dried grass stunted chafing shoes I watched smoke of trains dancing in the dark of a smoke field night hot steam criss-crossing in a morning light lit by darkness As the dancing of spirits in her room led to feel a gateway that her brain denied by culture and money locked to she destroyed herself for her daughters to give them the chance denied her Like a railway announcer's words nothing was understood, expensive actions that delivered not the worth she thought but that her vision was 'her vision' With a mind and intellect and courage to take everything knowing she was capable of so much more She delivered to those who having lived from her only saw what suited them In her life she brought forth sons and daughters, made mistakes and lost to the stronger genes Sleep well my love, sleep soundly, sleep in the knowledge that you will never die |

A requiem, indeed...and wonderfully stated. How pleased am I, that this comes now, upon the heels of so many losses, the very words, quote: and it befits man, woman, even child. In the past few weeks I have read stories that dealt with loss; I have read poems of people I know, dealing with loss; I have read newslines...too... and that we might never forget, in some hard way, but always leave a light on, if even in our mind... Ah, Bodger... Thank you. |

It's nice to have food for thought that actually makes you pause to sort things out and perhaps in the sorting gain new understandings otherwise elusive. And welcome... If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again. |
