You look out your own window There in the dim lamp light Is the corner where we waited For our bus to arrive On the high picket fence Local events are announced On paper that seems spectral In a veil of blue And now that we know, (Except for the last two), What our numbers are Isn’t it odd to find ourselves here With that dog Whose name we’ve forgotten Barking at stars An amber moon Just rising above the roofs http://www.juliesulzen.com/sundayevening.html |
