Que sera is not an acceptable answer |

Screaming yellows splash themselves across a midnight cobalt sky. A solo screamer stares into outer space, seeking answers to ‘Why?’ No understandable response forthcoming, I dare my God on high But silence falls upon these ears while slowly a tear slips from my eye. Why is it the sun doesn’t brilliantly shine for all mankind equally? Why don’t the stars shine at night for those trapped in the heart of the city? (The scientific answers to these are painted in a polluted sky, and are not poetically pretty) And why does the bell toll so early? Why must so many children die? I am angry with the powers that be, if there really be any, and would like a better answer than Que sera, sera, what will be, will be. That answer shall never satisfy me. |

I hear ya Kacy...have often times thought the same thing. Heart hugs. Something tugs at me, I've no doubt of that. |

What will be is what we let be, awareness of the problem is only half of the solution... Those in power in the world and say "Que sera, sera" are in stuck with antiquated thought... My belief is that most so called terrorisim is a direct result of the haves of the world turning their backs on the have nots...A starving child sees his/her impoverished mothers tears, feels her hunger and from that sunless place will rise, and strike out at the nearest cause of what they perceive is at the root of hers, and their own trama. Bless you for your courage and your not accepting their answer... This are my feelings exactly...of which I can only articulate in poetry...pen on, my friend, pen on... |

(big angel hugs) Whenever I hear that made as an excuse, I just sadly shake my head quietly, because I truly believe the world will never be any more than what we make it, and that isn't a cynical thought, it's the truth, for in every action there is a reaction and we all make up the fabric, the tapestry of life and decide how strong we want the fabric to be, or how easy it is to tear! (sad sigh) The whole "que sera" attitude that many have about Iraq, for instance, in that "the fact is that, we're there..." attitude is no excuse in my heart and that Iraq wasn't a central front on the war on terror to begin with, and only now has become one because of intervention! (sad sigh) God Bless You, sweet friend, this is one wonderful write, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Kacy, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton "If we have no peace, it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other" |

Thanks to each one of you for your thoughtful comments. Many years ago, I told someone that in most of the world's industrialized countries, we were all rowing straight to hell in our yachts or driving there in our air conditioned cars, while much of the 'third' world is struggling to obtain shelter, clean water, food, basic health care. Come to think of it, thousands in this country are struggling to find the same things. And I see very few if any world leaders addressing this reality with any policies that will change the direction of mankind's descent. Ford, you sure did read me right. |
