The words are coming yet again I grab my pen and begin the struggle once more My emotions splashing onto the page Eyes closed feeling like someone has their hand on my brain Speaking in tongues trying to decipher the meaning I can feel the wings wrapped tightly around me Are my words that of scripture, or are they blasphemy What do I do, I fall to my knees Hoping for salvation Yet I see the babies dying is this really intelligent design How can it be that pain is the answer The eyes of the masses stitched close I wish for them to be opened Can we stop the violence, or has it gone to far Muslim, Christian, Jewish and everything in between Have they all forgotten the words of their God Make it simple, if it hurts you then others should not have to face it We are all humans in the long run Souls encased in protective wrappers I shed tears and blood for all those that have fallen I don't want to be like the movies I want to be like Christ I may not be Christian But I would sacrifice my life for the masses They say one man can not change the world But I am willing to challenge the theory I will fight for humanity Till my dying breath Tomorrow comes for those who fear it. |
