SHHH Stay quiet if only for a bit Don't want to make a friend Don't want to just to sit But nothing more to do, So I sit watching people come and go No one looking at each other Not even a Hi or Hello STOP my head wants to yell Why do we all sit here with no one to tell? Keep to yourself as they all must do But why? we are just people With a story or two But still we keep quiet not to break the mood So I sit and watch everything go round and round Will it end, I hope so Thats just a day at the laundary mat If anyone has ever had to go to the laundary mat SPEAK UP You never know, a friend might be there for you to Discover!! |

It could be anywhere, but people need space and everything breaks the mould I like your words but people are people Bodger |

Aha...now the Shhhh I got makes sense! I remember carting two little tow-heads to the laundry mat. I'd bring books and toys in addition to the dirty laundry - and we'd sing and laugh and make funny faces at each other - but I don't think you remember all that. Sometimes you would help fold laundry - and I didn't correct you on "my" way - your way was keeping your hands full. And you two girls - oh, the smiles you would garner by just being friendly. But I never did honor your request to "ride inside the big wheel, mommie!" Nah - I was a real mean mommie! |

How sweet! I liked the message in that poem. Every once in a while people just need to talk to each other...the silence can be deadening! Yv-Goddess of Her Domain. Symbol of Truth Passion Pain. Let Her Smile Rain on the Hearts of the Innocent. |

I am very carefully choosing each poem I read tonight....but I have no idea why I am choosing the ones I do. So far I'm batting a thousand. Every single one has made me glad I read it, either because it moves me in a special way, or because it says truth in a way I feel intensely....or like this one, both. ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸ ¸¸ºº> ~~~(¸¸ER¸¸ºº> |
