A Thing Of Beauty
~*Marge Tindal*~

He said, “It’s a thing of beauty.”
“Like a woman, made soft and supple,
yet well-worn in just the right places.”

And … let’s just note, for the record,
that he was talking about a new wood carving~

He said, “Parts of the wood are wrinkled and gnarly,
needing the caress of a woodcarver’s hands
to bring the beauty to the surface.”

And he worked the wood~

He said, “When handled gently,
her beauty rises to meet the expectations
of the woodcarver’s vision.”

And he continued to ply his trade~

Deftly, the hands continued to carve,
shaping the wood the way it begged to go.

And he said, “Do you see it now?”
“Do you see what I saw even before I began?”

And a thing of beauty it was~

Then he said, “I’ve named her Marge With Love.”

Oh woodcarver … can you give her a tear?

“Oh, but I have … that is why she is a thing of beauty.”

"A Thing of Beauty" is in the words you write. The beauty comes from within your heart and spreads outwardly to touch everyone. A beautiful poem dearest Marge.

Marge, tears literally welled up in my eyes as I read this most touching post. Bill is as beautiful, creative, and loving as you yourself are. God bless you both and may the love you have for each other last "foreverly".
