 Freeloader By: Noah Eaton 7/21/05 Freeloader, Freeloader, Freeloader, Freeloader! What’d you got, what’d you got in your head, what’d you like to do today, bet’cha wanna get your feet wet! Down the street at the local church, where they’re hosting a street dance, he lets the sunshine cook in his veins, like a fire dancer on a speeding train, yeah! Freeloader, Freeloader, Freeloader, Freeloader! Each weekend he visits the farmer’s market, as though it’s a convention center, he spoons through all of Moppethill Farm’s jelly samples, borrows juggling sticks to show off his two handle helicopter, he carries around an empty tomato paste tin container, to play percussion with the concrete bucket bass beatniks, from the next block over you can hear them playing, in front of the city fountain. Freeloader, Freeloader, Freeloader, Freeloader!  When we take advantage of the summer, every other season is so much brighter, aha, I thought I saw you steppin’ into that ice cream parlor, for that free Ruby Jewel your sun-stricken heart desires! When we take advantage of the summer, this season feels stretched out so much longer, aha, I thought I saw you struttin’ down the boulevard, like you own this season, you lil’ freeloader! Freeloader, Freeloader, Freeloader, Freeloader! What’d you got, what’d you got in your head, what’d you like to do today, bet’cha wanna get your feet wet! He scampers on down to Jamilson Square, smelling neighbor’s flowers all along the way, fouette turning between the water jets, jazz handin’, slippidy-sliding away! Freeloader, Freeloader, Freeloader, Freeloader! Freeloader, (yeah, yeah, yeah) Freeloader, (mmm, mmm, mmm) Freeloader, (ooh, ooh, ooh) Freeloader! (Take advantage of all summer has to offer, you lil' mischevious freeloader!) Freeloader! (Chase the summer around as you do butterflies!) Freeloader! (Chase the summer around as you do butterflies!) Freeloader! (Chase the summer around as you do butterflies!) Freeloader! (Chase the summer around as you do butterflies!)
