Freedom Now! As I walk along side this parapet, Visions of brutality Haunt my steps. Through their slogans of the infamous, “Freedom Now!” My people upon my land Fall dead to the ground. The Star Spangled Propagandist, Sings me a rhyme. With her draping dress of copper, She holds up her torch That is lit with lies. “Freedom Now!” They would sing, As they were beat off by the police, Madness. Slipping through the grips of modern humanity, Is the crippling clutch of devastation. That roams these streets of this quiet world. This quiet world? Freedom Now? No, why bother? I am content with blinders upon my face. It lets me see enough, But not enough to be free. We don’t need to know destruction. Though as good as it as, They are still Raping our intelligence with needless sadness. This is the story of romantic feelings. The story of fear stricken dejection Like the noxious injection that pierced my vein To rid my mind of all memoirs. This is… Well, I think we have a problem. Yes. We definitely have a problem. Freedom Now! They would chant in the streets. As the authority would continue their beats, I am not one. I am comrade. I am affiliate. I am gladly enough to be a pawn. Freedom Now? Why bother? I like totalitarianism. At least that’s what I’ve been told… Some Monkeys never learn! |
